The city took another step yesterday to co-name two Brooklyn blocks after the NYPD officers who were killed on duty last month.

The City Council’s parks committee unanimously approved a bill for street changes for a host of New Yorkers including Detectives Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, who were murdered on Dec. 20.

“It’s only been a few weeks since we lost these heroes,” said City Councilman Mark Levine, the chair of the committee. “We have to do everything we can to keep their memories alive.”

Ridgewood Avenue between Shepherd Avenue and Highland Place in Brooklyn will be renamed “Detective Rafael Ramos Way” and West Sixth Street between Avenue S and Avenue T in Brooklyn will be co-named “Detective Wenjian Liu Way.”
