The police are still looking into whether a detective was part of a kidnapping that involved his Springfield Gardens home.

As of Sunday evening, Ondre Johnson, who works in the NYPD’s Brooklyn gang unit, according to The New York Times, has not been charged by prosecutors but has been suspended without pay, the NYPD said.

On Friday, cops traced a phone call made by an alleged kidnapper to Johnson’s home and discovered that a man was being held in the garage, the NYPD said.

Officers arrested two men Hakeem Clark, 30, and Jason Hutson, 27, and they were arraigned Saturday night on several charges including kidnapping, and possession of forgery devices, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Clark is Johnson’s cousin and was renting out the garage, according to the Times.

Devices used for making phony credit cards were found inside the garage, according to a source close to the investigation.
