When a pair of fishermen were swept away by the currents in Jamaica Bay, a pair of alert bystanders on the beach dove to their rescue. They saved one man but were unable to rescue the other. They told their story to TimesLedger Reporter Ivan Pereira and Photo Editor Christina Santucci.
