The Alamo Drafthouse will officially open its Brooklyn location on October 28, with a week of Halloween themed movies.

The seven-screen cineplex, located at the City Point development at 445 Albee Square West, was supposed to open during the summer but was hit with several delays.

The announcement was first reported by The New York Times Tuesday afternoon.

Like its other locations across the country, the Alamo Drafthouse will offer in-theater dining, with food curated by chef Fernando Marulanda. Its bar will have selections from local breweries.

The 19-year-old chain will institute its strict no talking, no texting policy during screenings, which will include big blockbusters, classics and independent movies.

“To most New Yorkers, this is their first time experiencing an Alamo Drafthouse, so in many ways this represents the efforts of 19 years of programming,” Alamo Drafthouse’s New York creative manager Cristina Cacioppo said in a statement.

Alamo Drafthouse’s opening marks the latest in a growing trend of specialty movie theaters in New York. Nearly two weeks ago, the iPic theater chain opened a location at the South Street Seaport.
