Police are hunting for a Bronx man who allegedly kidnapped his two children and tried to shoot their mother and burn down her apartment before carjacking a driver Sunday.

Fitz Edwards was still on the loose after he abandoned the car he stole in Harlem with his two children in the backseat, police said.

The kids, who are 2 and 5 years old, had a wild day after the 29-year-old father allegedly had a dispute with their mother in her Bronx apartment around 5 a.m.

Edwards, who’s described as black and 6 feet tall with braided hair, allegedly opened fire on the woman, missing her, and tried to torch the apartment, police said. He then allegedly took the two kids, walked three blocks and carjacked a Honda Accord.

The driver wasn’t hurt but police say Edwards drove off with the kids in the backseat. They were found unharmed around noon near East 128th Street and Park Avenue after police issued an Amber Alert.
